Smileys are now an integral part of Internet lexicon, but where are they on Facebook Chat?
Facebook has an integrated smileys system, but not too many FB users are aware of it. Part of the reason is that the chat system was added to Facebook in 2008 only. The other significant reason is that the smileys are hidden. The only way you can bring them up on Facebook chat is by keying in the right smiley codes. But what are the Facebook smiley codes, and where can you find them?
Well, look no further. Below is a complete list of default Facebook smileys and the codes needed to access them. To use default smileys when chatting, just type in the combination of punctuation marks, symbols, or letters below, then press the enter key. Remember that you need to press the ‘Shift’ key in some cases in order to access certain symbols.
